“…God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God
He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed
them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and
subdue it and have dominion…” Genesis 1:27, 28 AMP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the beginning, God created one man and one woman. He blessed them, then He gave them authority and dominion over all of creation. He told them to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth with their children, with inspiration and power. What happened to God’s creation of “the MAN and the WOMAN having authority and dominion together?”
From the Garden of Eden to Christ’s birth through the Virgin Mary, man and woman had been very divided. It was believed that the man was superior and the WOMAN was inferior. Because of the curse of the fall of mankind, when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, the WOMAN was blamed and not forgiven by the man. WHEN JESUS CAME, everything changed. The inferior being, which the WOMAN was considered, was chosen by God to entrust the birth of His Son. She was the one who was trusted by God to nurture His Son and take care of Him.
It was Jesus Christ Who began to show the real attitude of God toward the WOMAN. Jesus chose to perform miracles for different women, heal their sicknesses, raise their dead, supply their needs, not condemn them, but instead love and care for them. It was a WOMAN who came and washed Jesus’ feet with her hair. It was a WOMAN who came and anointed Jesus’ feet with very expensive perfumed oil.
Considering the salvation provided by the death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, the equality of genders became very real. Jesus simply stated in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me” (AMP). In Acts 10:34 Peter said, “God is no respecter of persons” (AMP). Paul makes it very clear in Galatians 3:28, “There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (AMP)
The term “Last Days Woman” was first birthed in January 1991, while preparing for a meeting in Singapore of Church National Directors’ wives from several nations of Asia and Oceania. To say that a WOMAN is a Last Days Woman seems quite radical, yet the fulfillment of prophecies has continually increased since 1991, proving that these are these are the Last Days before Jesus Christ returns. It is in this hour of history that God is calling each WOMAN around the world to rise up and fulfill what He originally created Eve to do. Besides multiplying and replenishing the earth, Eve was equally given authority and dominion over God’s creation with her husband.
Many books, magazines, articles, studies and even songs have been written concerning women. There have been many different movements by women and for women to have equal rights with men. LDW is not such a group, movement or organization. The only hope and purpose of LDW is to cause each WOMAN to realize and know how special she was made by God. For each WOMAN to understand that God loves her and cares for her.
As women live in each of the nations, it is impossible to change laws and rules that have been made by man to control and dominate the WOMAN. There is no nation, government or religion that can keep out the love of Jesus Christ or His liberating power. LDW is not geared to change the nations, cultures or religions. LDW is only geared to help change each WOMAN.
The goal of LDW is to help EACH WOMAN to realize who she was created to be and stand firm in the place God designed her for. The goal is for MAN and WOMAN to stand in unity with authority and dominion together as God originally designed. Satan is intimidated by true unity of male and female – man and woman. Nothing is impossible when two stand in unity!
Will you dare to take your stand as a mighty WOMAN of God? Do you know who you are in Christ Jesus? Who do you follow and obey - Jesus? Your husband? Your religious leader? Government leaders? Jesus came and died for you. He paid the price for your redemption, your freedom and your salvation. He designed and created you for His pleasure. He loves you, just as you are.
